Edtech platform BibliU was recently featured on Fox News' America Reports for National Education Week in a segmented on affordability in higher edcation. A startling 11% of students reported skipping meals just to afford their textbooks for class.
"[Higher education institutions] are doing all sorts of things like freezing their fees, increasing scholarships," said co-founder and CEO Dave Sherwood, "but it's a very nice addition to say we're saving [students] fifty percent on their textbook materials, and it's included in your student account."
With affordability becoming more and more of a pressing issue in higher education, platforms like BibliU aim to provide accessible and affordable options for students so they no longer have to worry about the costs of course materials.

More than a third of students (35%) said they couldn’t afford to buy their textbooks, while a further 32% could afford them but felt the purchase would be a waste of money.
