Over the last 18 months, universities have seemingly split into two distinct environments – the in-person and the digital. The split extended into the library space, where engaging students online became the priority over in-person services.

As schools have re-opened, libraries have started re-introducing their in-person services and print collections; but moving forward, they have to figure out how to integrate both aspects of their services seamlessly to fully capture the advantages of digital while preserving the value of print.

This panel will discuss how different librarians approach this challenge and what we can learn from their experiences. Topics will include:

  • How libraries approach building their print and digital collections
  • The complications with digital ownership and stewardship
  • How much digital content is used in an on-campus learning environment
  • How their in-person resources support their digital collections
  • How to drive print collection usage in a more digital-centric world
