CLINTON, MS — As Mississippi College (MC) celebrates 200 years of serving students, the institution is launching a major transformation of its course materials and campus store model through partnership with BibliU. The initiative will deliver affordable, Day 1 access to required course materials while modernizing the College’s retail experience to better serve today’s students.
Ranked among the Wall Street Journal’s Best Colleges in the U.S. for 2026, Mississippi College is using its bicentennial milestone to address long-standing challenges in course material access and campus store operations. In recent years, students experienced delays in obtaining required materials, billing errors became more frequent, and dissatisfaction with the retail experience increased.
Through its partnership with BibliU, MC is creating a more reliable and transparent system designed to improve access to course materials, strengthen campus retail, and support more accurate and timely billing processes.
At the center of the partnership is the launch of BibliU Access, a course materials program that ensures every student receives required resources on Day 1. Materials are delivered directly through the Canvas learning management system (LMS), giving students immediate access within the platform they already use for coursework.
This transition replaces a fragmented purchasing process with a streamlined, institution-managed billing structure. Course material costs are incorporated into tuition through a transparent per-credit-hour approach, eliminating many of the financial and logistical barriers that previously delayed access to required resources.
By ensuring that all students begin the semester with the materials they need, Mississippi College expects to see greater engagement with course content and improved academic outcomes, supporting the institution’s long-standing commitment to student success and graduation.
“Mississippi College is proud to partner with BibliU to improve access to academic resources for our students,” said Laura Jackson, COO and CFO of Mississippi College. “By shifting to digital delivery of our academic resources, we aim to help students survive, and thrive, in modern college life and make learning more accessible, flexible and efficient. No matter the course delivery method, online, hybrid or in-person, digital tools make it possible to learn anywhere and anytime. Mississippi College is committed to using every tool available to help our students succeed.”
In addition to expanding access to course materials, BibliU is working closely with Mississippi College to modernize its campus retail operations by addressing legacy challenges through a more collaborative, technology-enabled approach. As part of this partnership, BibliU will assume management of both the physical and online store presence—streamlining administrative processes such as billing and commissions to improve accuracy, timeliness, and transparency.
This shift moves the institution away from unpredictable purchasing models toward a unified system with clear, predictable costs, enabling the campus store to better meet the expectations of today’s students.
With stronger operational alignment in place, Mississippi College can also collaborate more effectively across campus. This includes working more closely with departments like Athletics to expand merchandise offerings and increase availability at key campus events.
As the College continues to evaluate its long-term vision for campus services, including potential updates to the store’s location and offerings, BibliU provides the expertise and technology needed to ensure the retail experience evolves to better serve students, faculty, and the broader campus community.
“Mississippi College is a top-tier institution with a remarkable 200-year legacy of excellence," said Dave Sherwood, CEO of BibliU. "As the College celebrates its bicentennial, we're proud to partner with them to modernize campus retail and remove barriers to course materials so more students can access what they need to succeed."
