Content Marketing Manager
Kyla is based in Atlanta, GA.
7 months, and I have loved every minute.
My job is to create and manage a content strategy and calendar that support marketing and sales goals. I get to collaborate with a bunch of teams within BibliU to ensure they all have the content they need to support their goals.
I enjoy that every day is different - I am never bored with my job. My role allows me to be creative and think critically, and I have a lot of freedom to structure my work in a way that works best for me. My team and the BibliU team as a whole are so supportive, and I love that I feel like I have the support I need to do my job well.
I can't say that I've been on any bad holidays, but I have gotten food poisoning a couple of times. Once in Peru before getting on the plane home (talk about miserable), and then my husband and I both got it on our honeymoon in Thailand - in the middle of a monsoon. So we had a rough couple of days. Luckily we recovered in plenty of time to enjoy the rest of our trip - though I didn't touch mango sticky rice again.
I have a goal to visit every continent - I only have Australia and Antarctica left!
Otis Redding, in a heartbeat.
I honestly can't pick a favorite, but my top three (in no particular order) are Morocco, Kenya, and Israel. Couldn't give you a concrete reason as to why, I just cherish my experiences in all three places more than other places I've been.
Pompeii by Bastille
The year it came out, I spent the summer studying in London and the song was EVERYWHERE. I met some incredible friends during my time there, and am lucky enough to still be close with all of them. So whenever I hear that song, I'm suddenly 21 again, exploring London with my friends, doing very little actual studying, trying to figure it all out, and having the time of my life.
I love to explore new places with my husband, go on hikes, read, do yard work (seriously, I love yard work), browse around antique stores, and cook.
Flying - I absolutely hate it. I will have a full panic attack at the gate before I get on any flight, no matter how short. But I love to travel, so I just suck it up.
I would love to learn how to sew - and it's not for lack of trying. My grandmothers and my mom all tried to teach me years ago, and I unfortunately did not inherit their talent for it.
The Nix by Nathan Hill. I would highly recommend it.
I'm currently watching the newest season of You. I can't stop.
A giant bowl of pasta, any pasta. Or pot roast.
I'll give you three: Taylor Swift's music is highly overrated. Any version of The Bachelor/The Bachelorette is trash. Burpees are fun.
Parks and Recreation
Coffee, black. The only exception being an iced latte.
Dirty gin martini or a glass of cabernet.
Eat. Atlanta does food really well, so my husband and I have Friday night dates to try new restaurants or revisit old favorites.
